Microsign team always works to encourage activities related to cultural, artistic and sports. Such activities do not just work as support but it also helps in building up a better human being for a better society. Apart from that, it also works to make more opportunities for the livelihood. Well, they recently held an event where they promoted the lost art / less accepted craft of pottery. The workshop was conducted by Bhagyashree Mehta from Antarang Colouring lives with craft. The workshop also included four artisans who were specially invited from Kutch and Bhavnagar. The workshop was basically focused on product development, skill exchange, and training.
The development of the product was completed at Centre for Excellence and managed by Microsign Products in the Traditional kiln. Major highlights of the workshop were the significance of lost art of baking pottery. It was all planned and initiated by Antarang Team in Bhavnagar.
Microsign believes that sharing is important that’s why the workshop was open to all people who lived in Bhavnagar. Interested people joined the team to witness the whole process of making products like a traditional kiln. The audience also participated in exploring the art of polishing stone, painting traditional geru and chuna. They also gained knowledge about new as well as lost art; it also helped in understanding and learning about new concepts.
Bhagyashree Mehta from Antarang Colouring lives with craft told that the whole workshop was impossible to conduct without the help of Microsign. Giving the credit to Mr. Nisheeth Mehta, Bhagyashree Mehta also said that the workshop not just helped in developing a range of new products. But, they also get a chance to experience to work with other pottery artisans to make pots and large products. She further added that “they will conduct more workshop at the Center For Excellence‘s campus.” Bhagyashree stated that they are going to train the artist of Bhavnagar so they can create more opportunities for better livelihood.
