It’s true that if you want to have the best experience of Makar Sakranti festival in its pure form then visit Gujarat. Uttarayan is celebrated with zeal and love and officially began on January 7 and end on January 15, 2018. It’s more popular by the name of “festival of kites” and shops sell the kites of all colors, sizes, and shapes across Gujarat. People organize and take part in kite flying competition and complete the celebration of this festival with traditional food like Til Laddoos, Surati Jamun, and Undhiyu.

Microsign, based in Gujarat, had organized small celebration of Uttarayan at their facility. The team celebrated the festival with equal enthusiasm and love at the office.

The spirit of this festive day brought the employees together. The kite flying competition and dance performances were done by all of them. Do you know? Uttarayan is connected with the spirituality.

Uttarayan and Spirituality

Uttarayan is a period of harvest. The Sun’s run shift from the southern to the northern (for planet Earth) – from Dakshinayana to Uttarayan. People with spiritual awareness recognize this transition as a possibility for human perception to blossom. The human system becomes more receptive to grace at this time.

Uttarayan is for enlightenment. The period of this festival is known for receptivity, of grace and enlightenment, of the ultimate. During Uttarayan, people not only harvest food grains, but also the human potential.

In this hope, Microsign team had arranged a small “Uttarayan celebration” for its employees to set up a certain opportunity for them to become more consciously receptive. The celebration was done for 2 hours and Mr. Nisheeth Mehta completed the festive feel with the distribution of sweets and snacks among the employees and their families
